Department of Petroleum Engineering

Petroleum Engineering in Dhaanish Ahmed College of Engineering is a four-year course affiliated to the Anna University Chennai and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The field overlaps with many of the engineering disciplines, such as: Geosciences, Geology, Geophysics, Mechanical, Chemical, Production, Management and Civil Engineering. It is basically concerned with the activities related to the exploration, drilling, and production of hydrocarbons from onshore and offshore areas. The program also covers related to components in Petroleum Industry Environment Engineering, Refining Technology, Safety Engineering, Unconventional hydrocarbon resources, Well control, and Transport of oil and gas.
