Admission Criteria
The eligibility criteria for admission to BE and BTech programs vary based on the applicant’s category, ensuring inclusive opportunities for students from all backgrounds. Candidates from the Open category must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in their 10+2 examinations. Those belonging to the Backward category are required to achieve at least 45%, while candidates from the Most Backward category must secure a minimum of 40%. Similarly, students from SC/ST categories are also eligible with a minimum aggregate of 40%. These category-specific requirements reflect a commitment to fostering diversity and equal access to education.
Admission Process BE / BTech
To be eligible for lateral entry into a B.E. program at Anna University, a candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Pass a Diploma in Engineering or Technology from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks
